The Adventist church worldwide is well known for its emphasis on education. The church operates several schools, colleges and Universities. This includes 5,500 schools, colleges and universities, with 47,000 teachers and almost one million students in 100 countries. Locally, our church through its Education Department seeks to inspire, train and educate members so they can realize their full God given potential and use this in service to God and man. The major initiatives are outlined below:

An annual Career Day Program
Graduation Candlelight Ceremony 
Workshops on College Funding, Financial Management, Leadership, etc. 
Cultural activities: e.g. Music and Drama Groups, Black History Celebration, etc.

Computer Literacy Class

 The Computer Literacy Class provides an excellent opportunity for us to witness as we serve the community. The program is free. Volunteer instructors provide classroom instruction and handouts for at-home study. The classes are open to any church member or anyone in the community. Classes are held on scheduled Sundays in the Conference Room. Check with the Education Secretary for details.
